After recent introduction of the most reliable outdoor intrusion detection sensors from Protech USA, Applied Infrared Sensing is now pleased to announce the HS (High Security) and MIL (Military) sensors have been tested and approved by Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC).
The sensors comprise passive infrared intruder detectors and special microwave signal processing, termed Stereo Doppler, which were specifically designed for high security military applications and recently have become available for commercial clients.
Protech’s dual sensors incorporate unique single Stereo Doppler Microwave system (with two receivers for lowest level of false alarms) combined with Dual Element Infrared Detector. There are many other motion sensors in the market, but Protech does work outdoors.
These sensors are unique in that they provide reliable outdoor volumetric protection even under severe environmental conditions. The detection parameters are adjustable to enable these sensors to offer greater overall detection capability for slow moving, fast moving and crawling intruders. Stereo Doppler is the key to Protech motion sensors unique false alarm immunity caused by animals and birds.
The range of Protech outdoor motion sensors consists of equipment for medium security applications which is used mainly for ladders and towers protection; equipment for high security applications such as protection of strategic areas or assets; and explosion proof sensors which are installed at petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, storage areas and other hazardous material processing facilities.
